Siobhan McKenna was appointed a part-time Commissioner of the Productivity Commission in June 2009. In the period to 7 August she continued to work on the Social and Economic Infrastructure Services commissioned study which is part of the five year rolling review of regulatory burdens on business.

Siobhan had previously worked with the Commission as an Associate Commissioner on that project as well as on the research study dealing with Chemicals and Plastics Regulation in Australia.

From 7 August 2009, Siobhan has been on leave-without-pay, to facilitate her participation as a board member of the NBN Co.

Siobhan holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the Australian National University and a Master of Philosophy (International Relations) from Cambridge University.

Siobhan is the Managing Partner of Illyria Pty Ltd a media focused investment company. Previously Siobhan was a Partner of McKinsey & Company an international management consulting firm and was a member of the Advisory Board of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
