Library

The main library in Melbourne and branch library in Canberra provide research information services to Commission staff. Inter-library loans are available from our libraries via the Australian Interlending Network and can be organised through your own library. We do not lend to individuals or organisations, only to other libraries.

The libraries also provide public viewing facilities between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday for submissions and public hearing transcripts of inquiries and commissioned studies, and Commission publications.

Accessing submissions and transcripts

Submissions and transcripts are available on this website. They can also be viewed at our libraries in Melbourne and Canberra.

Submissions and transcripts of inquiries undertaken by the Industry Commission between 1994 and 1998 can be viewed at the Melbourne Library. For inquiries completed prior to 1994, submissions and transcripts can be accessed through Australian Archives. For more details please contact the Commission's Office Services Section in Melbourne on (03) 9653 2107.

Submissions and transcripts can also be accessed at any State Library. Please contact your nearest State Library to make arrangements. If you experience any problems with access to submissions or transcripts please contact the Library Manager in Melbourne on (03) 9653 2106.
