Graduate Employment

Salaries and superannuation

The Commission offers generous remuneration packages to our graduates. The remuneration for graduates commencing in 2009 will total $61,162, comprising $53,000 salary and about 15% superannuation.

Graduate salaries are governed by the Collective Agreement 2007-2010  which remains in force until 2010.

There are excellent opportunities for you to advance within the Commission. You will receive opportunities for salary increase within your staff level — depending on your performance.

You will also have opportunities to gain promotion. In the past, most graduates have received a promotion after 12 months (although this may be sooner or later depending on the performance of individuals).

You will be eligible to receive performance based bonuses — up to 3 per cent of salary depending on the performance rating achieved. Salary increases within staff level bands are also available for staff depending on performance outcomes.

The Commission also offers assistance to new employees who are required to move from interstate or overseas, along with many other benefits.
