Graduate Employment
Commissioned projects
In response to terms of reference sent to the Commission, as part of a team, you will apply your economic research skills to analyse a range of issues. In the past, commissioned research topics have covered: regulatory reform, trade liberalisation, industry assistance and development, labour markets, environmental and natural resources, and reviews of government legislation.
You will coordinate the substantial input from interested parties - such as Australian, State and Territory Governments, industry groups, unions, environmental and consumer groups, and the general public. You will also hear different ideas and views on the topics through industry visits, public hearings around the country, and by reading literature and formal submissions.
There are six branches that undertake commissioned research.
