Performance monitoring
In the Social Infrastructure Branch, you will help specify, collect, analyse and publish information on a range of government activities - schools, hospitals and medical services, police, courts, corrective services, emergency management, aged care, disability services, protection and support, children's services, and community and public housing.
The branch also monitors the performance of government services to Indigenous Australians. You will also prepare case studies analysing reforms in these areas. You will be involved in meetings with Australian, State and Territory government officials.
The Economic Infrastructure Branch monitors the performance of a wide-range of government-owned economic infrastructure industries - electricity, gas, water, telecommunications, road and rail transport and ports.
You will research and analyse the performance of economic infrastructure industries. You will apply your knowledge of economic principles to examine the cost drivers and pricing, the economics of network industries, government regulation, and governance arrangements.
The branch undertakes other economic infrastructure related research from time-to-time.
