Review of the Report on Government Services
COAG has agreed to a review of the Report on Government Services, to be undertaken by a combined Senior Officials and Heads of Treasuries Working Group. The review will examine the ongoing usefulness of the Report to its government, non-government and community stakeholders.
A terms of reference sets out the scope and timing of the review, with a report to COAG due in September 2009. As part of this review, a discussion paper has been released. Interested parties are invited to provide feedback on the discussion paper until 17 July 2009.
The Senior Officials and Heads of Treasuries Working Group will examine all submissions and prepare a final report to COAG by 30 September 2009.
The Survey for the review is available on the Council of Australian Governments website until 5 August 2009.
