RETAILworks was employed by the Commission to provide a short report, A profile of the Australian Citrus Domestic Supply Chain, on the citrus supply chain. The three tasks that Retailworks was asked to complete were:

  • To identify and describe the major elements in the supply chain for oranges in Australia;
  • To estimate the proportion of the average retail prices for oranges in 2000-01 that accrue to each element in the supply chain; and
  • Identify and describe briefly the major trends effecting the structure and relationships between elements in the supply chain and likely future directions.
