Review of Regulatory Burden on the Upstream Petroleum (Oil and Gas) Sector
Commissioned study
The Productivity Commission has been asked to report within twelve months on the regulatory burden on the upstream petroleum (oil and gas) sector in Australia.
The Commission is to assess the impact of the current regulatory framework on the international competitiveness and economic performance of the sector, report on regulatory impediments and consider options for a national regulatory authority to manage all regulatory approvals.
