International Benchmarking Study
This study has concluded. The final report was released on 24 July 2001.
The international benchmarking study of telecommunications services was part of a program of research into the performance of Australia's economic infrastructure industries. The aim of the study was to compare the accessibility, quality and price of a range of telecommunications services provided in remote and rural areas with those provided in urban areas, in Australia and in other countries.
A detailed description of this study is available in the Project Proposal. Network Strategies Ltd. was engaged to collect data for this project. Its report was used in drafting the final report.
