Global effects of EU agricultural support

Research project

Background

The EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) affects the Australian economy and global trade patterns in many ways. Although the CAP has been the subject of intense study, an authoritative quantitative study of its latest version, to last to 2013, and its effects on EU members and their trading partners is lacking.

This project is part of a suite of collaborative projects between the Groupe d’Economie Mondiale and the Commission.

Objectives of the study

To estimate the effects of EU agricultural support on Australia, and other major economies.

Timing

To be completed by November 2008 .
