Restrictions on Trade in Distribution Services by Kaleeswaran Kalirajan was released on 16 August 2000. In this study, which focuses on wholesale and retail trade, government restrictions on trade in distribution services have been quantified using an index methodology. This methodology categorises available information on regulation and awards a score to each economy that is based on an assessment of the level of restrictiveness. An index score has been calculated for domestic and foreign firms to separately quantify the extent to which regulation restricts domestic and international competition.
