Mr Drew Collins has extensive experience in agricultural, natural resource and environmental policy development and analysis, including in the areas of natural resource management, pollution tax and trading schemes, water pricing and allocation, and the design of market instruments for environmental management. Notably, Drew has worked in senior management positions across government, research and private sectors.
As Managing Director of BDA Group, a strategic economics consultancy, Drew led a small team providing high quality research and analyses applicable to the water, air and land resources, and energy and waste sectors.
Prior to joining BDA Group, Drew held senior executive positions in natural resource and environmental management with the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE), and with the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).
Drew has a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of New England.
At the Productivity Commission, Drew will be working on the second inquiry into National Water Reform (2020).
