Arts and cultural philanthropy helps bring people together and supports Australia’s creative life. 

This submission explains how government settings can better support giving to the arts – by simplifying tax rules, reducing red tape, improving public information, and making it easier for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to access philanthropic support – so donations deliver the greatest benefit to the community.

The PC provided the submission to the House of Representatives Standing Committee's inquiry into arts and cultural philanthropy on 2 March 2026 and it was published on our website on 6 March 2026.
