This inquiry has concluded. The final inquiry report was released by the Australian Government on 16 December 1999.
The Commission was asked to report on the performance of the gambling industries and their economic and social impacts across Australia, including their impact on the retail, tourism and entertainment industries, and on Commonwealth and State/Territory Budgets.
