The PC has released two interim updates for National Water Reform 2026.

This interim update discusses changes to policy and regulatory settings that could improve the security, resilience and sustainability of water services in Australia.

The PC released another interim update, with its preliminary assessment of jurisdictions’ progress towards meeting the outcomes and objectives of the 2004 National Water Initiative, on 6 July 2026.

The PC invites interested people and organisations to make a written submission. Submissions are due by Friday 10 July 2026.
