This study has concluded. The research report was released on 14 February 2003.
The Productivity Commission was asked to undertake an evaluation of the Pharmaceuticals Industry Investment Program (PIIP). The objective of the study was to examine the appropriateness and the effectiveness of PIIP. The effectiveness of the program was assessed by comparing the economic activity of PIIP recipients with the rest of the pharmaceuticals industry.
