Our work streams

As part of its overall remit to deliver inquiries, research and reporting on matters related to industry, industry development and productivity, the PC has seven specialist work streams:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Stream

We undertake research and provide policy insights and advice on matters of importance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Climate Change and Energy

We undertake research and provide policy insights and advice on climate change and energy as Australia seeks to transition to net zero.

Data and Digital

We undertake research and provide insights and advice on policy arrangements necessary to best leverage data and digital technology to benefit all Australians and the economy.

Environment and Water

We undertake research and provide policy insights and advice on the interaction between the environment and the economy.

Health and Ageing

We undertake research and provide policy insights and advice on how to ease system pressures without sacrificing quality of care.

Industry and Trade

We undertake research and provide policy insights and advice on industry policy and trade in a dynamic economy, including through our annual Trade and Assistance Review.

Productivity

We produce insights and in-depth analysis to explain trends in productivity.
