Economy-wide effects of assistance to the textile, clothing and footwear industries

Commissioned study

The Australian Government has asked the Productivity Commission to undertake modelling of the economy-wide effects of future assistance options for Australia's textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) industries, to inform the current Review of the TCF industries, as well as to inform public debate and the Government's deliberations.

The Commission's report will be completed by the end of June and released publicly early in July 2008.

The Commission has prepared a technical supplement to its July 2008 report Modelling Economy-wide Effects of Future TCF Assistance, to clarify issues raised in Volume 2 of the TCF review report. This supplement was released on 14 November 2008.
