Consumer Law Enforcement and Administration

Information from ACL regulators

The Productivity Commission wrote to the Chair of the Consumer Affairs Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) Compliance and Dispute Resolution Advisory Committee (CDRAC) on 16 September 2016 seeking a range of data and information on the activities of the State and Territory Australian Consumer Law (ACL) regulators. A response was received on 11 November 2016 (which was subsequently updated).

Following this, the Commission sought further information, provided by CDRAC in a second response. Both the information requests and the final responses from CDRAC are published below.

Earlier, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) provided a submission to the Commission which can be viewed as Submission 23 on our submissions web page.
